How to spend nearly £4m of funding for Leeds Tech Sector

Leeds City Council was handed a £3.7m grant from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport earlier this year to help with the development of a new Tech Hub.

However the council is now considering using those funds to fund a number of different digital projects rather than investing it all into a single bricks-and-mortar scheme with bids sought for grants ranging from £400,000 to £2m. The council’s executive board should decide at a meeting on Wednesday what is the best use of the grant. However the money is allocated the sector is on the rise and bringing great employment opportunities to West Yorkshire
